Dear Friends,

A few things are different in our schedule this week. GM Swayams is in Europe, so he will be giving his Theoretical Endgames class later than usual. This Thursday he will begin at 2:30 PM UK time.

Andras has finished his course on the Sicilian and has just started a series on the Spanish, called Structures and Strategies in the Ruy Lopez. As usual, his old course will still be available for free for members for another 3 weeks. Afterwards, it will be added in the shop.

Sabino will give a Playing Position simul on Saturday. To join the simul, you need to first be in this team. Please mention your name and membership email when you apply for it. The link for the simul will be made available 10 minutes before the start.

Boris will have another class on “The Tortoise Method”. This time it will be on Sunday, from 10 AM UK time.

Jacob is taking a very short break from giving classes in the academy. He will be in New York from tomorrow and a week ahead for business meetings. If any of you are around and would like to meet up, send him a message!

Renier won the 2nd Killer Chess Training Open thus keeping the title in the academy. He was followed by GM Joseph Girel of France and Julen.

Arshiya scored her first WIM norm and crossed 2200 in the Asian Individual women chess championship!

Ryan Amburgy became the 2025 Space Coast Champion, defeating three GMs, two IMs and several other masters in the process.

Tarun won the Masters section of Ennis Chess Congress 2025. Trisha finished 3rd, tied for 2nd. Her only loss in the tournament was against none other than her brother! You can read more about their tournament and watch some annotated games in this article written by Trisha.

I was going through the recordings of Andras Toth’s course on the Open Sicilian and noticed that most of the games that the coach showed do not appear on ChessTempo. Are they going to get published there?

Hi Andrey, yes. I am waiting for the updated file from Andras.

An update on this: I’ve just received the complete file from Andras and uploaded it on Chesstempo. I’ve also extended the date the course will be removed from the free courses to 3 weeks from today, to make up for the delay in adding the complete file.
