Dear Friends,

A newsletter from the backend – for once it is neither Kallia, Sam, or Jacob writing the newsletter this week. This will just be a quick introduction of me, Kim, who will be helping out behind the scenes for Killer Chess Training.
We hope that several improvements behind the scenes will make Killer Chess Training even better for you, the users.

Before going to the news, we hope you enjoyed the camp “Core Elements of Chess Strategy” with GM Ivan Sokolov!

The first Killer Chess Training Open is, sadly, over. We had so much fun organizing it and meeting many of you in person, finally!
As you all know, GM Sabino Brunello was the winner, with GM Julen Arizmendi second and IM Jonas Hacker third. You can see the results here and the games here.

Several of our members and trainers have been playing and having great results, just to mention a few:

GM Antoaneta Stefanova is sharing first place at the 2023 FIDE Women’s Grand Swiss at the Isle of Man scoring 1½/2 against the Muzychuk sisters in the convincing win against GM Mariya Muzychuk see the game here.

Trisha Kanyamarala is also participating in the FIDE Women’s Grand Swiss with a great round 7 kingside attack win against FM Alice Lee, see the game here.

GM Ivan Cheparinov is playing in the FIDE Grand Swiss Open. A nice game in round 8 against Polish GM Jan-Krzysztof Duda, see the game here.

Sam Shankland is also playing the FIDE Grand Swiss Open and had a great win against the Norwegian GM Aryan Tari in round 5, see the game here.

Several of our students are also playing the FIDE Grand Swiss – we are sure that will get valuable experience from this.

GM Michael Adams is sharing second place, only half a point behind the leader, at the 50+ World Senior Championship, along the way there was this nice win against David H. Cummings.

Helen Milligan is also playing the World Senior Chess Championships in Sicily, Palermo, Italy, and drew with black against former Women World Champion Nona Gaprindashvili in round 3 – see the game here.

Several of our good friends are participating in 1000 GMs Fort Lauderdaleamon namely IM Kostya Kavutskiy and IM Josiah Stearman, see more here.

Arshiya Das got her WCM title, a big congratulations to her – we will hear more from her in the future!

Your friends at Killer Chess Training,
Kallia, Jacob, and Sam, and the backend
