Dear Friends,
A quick reminder about ChessTempo – if you are a yearly member, you need to send us a message and tell us your username! It is not enough to add kct academy as a coach. We need to know your username in order to upgrade your account and accept your request.
The entire chess world’s focus is on the Olympiad. As you all know, today is a rest day and the action will resume tomorrow. Some of our trainers and members are there, playing or coaching. Sabino is playing as 5th board of Italy. He has been doing a great job advertising his courses for Killer Chess Training so far. In round 3 he beat Erwin l’Ami in a Grunfeld. He drew Benjamin Gledura in round 4, following his own recommendations in the 1.d4 Repertoire. In round 5 he won a very instructive endgame in the Caro-Kann.
Vladimir is also in Budapest, as captain of the open team of UAE. Prin Laohawirapap is on 4.5/6 as 1st board of Thailand, defeating GM Roberto Garcia from Colombia in round 2. Tarun Kanyamarala has scored 3.5/5 on board 3 of Ireland, with his biggest win being against GM Ido Gorshtein from Israel.
In the women’s section, Aleksandra Kosteniuk is undefeated as board 1 of Switzerland.
We wish all our members and coaches who are competing this week the best of luck!
See you in class!
