Rating progress: Uwe

Dear friends,

These words are a reminder that success, whether in chess or in any endeavor, is not guaranteed, and there are no shortcuts to improvement. It’s a journey that requires dedication, hard work, and consistency.

Think of the academy as your training ground, much like a gym for your mind. Just as regular workouts lead to better physical fitness, regular practice and effort in chess will lead to improvement. The timing and extent of your progress may be uncertain, but it will undoubtedly happen if you keep putting in the effort.

Take Uwe’s example as inspiration. He joined the academy with a rating drop, but through persistence and commitment, he elevated his game to a new level. Work came first and rating progress followed. Each one of you who dedicates yourselves to the game, attends classes, completes homework, submits your games, converses on the forum, and strives for excellence and improvement, is a source of pride for us.

But remember, it’s not just about the rating. The most important thing is that you enjoy this chess journey. Your passion and dedication are what drive us as teachers and mentors. We’re honoured to be a part of your growth. We are honoured to be part of this community.

We understand that not every session or training approach will suit everyone, but with our diverse team of trainers, we aim to provide something valuable for each of you. Our hope is that you find classes that inspire you, challenge you, and ultimately help you reach new heights in your chess skills. This week, we have 11 classes and a simul for you. We hope you will enjoy them!

Keep working hard, keep showing up, and keep your love for the game alive. Your journey is unique, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

With gratitude and enthusiasm,
Your friends at Killer Chess Training,
Jacob, Kallia, and Sam
