Some course pages not available ("NO ACCESS")

Good morning Eiko.
I use Brave, Firefox, Safari. But yes, something is/was wrong.

I’m so so so sorry Kallia, but I have to say it’s same by me. Some things works, but “recent recordings” don’t.

To anyone having the same problem, please log in from a private window or a new browser.

Thanks Kallia, that worked for me!

Alternative: can try clearing your internet cache - it works on my non-incongito browser mode too now

The problem just reappeared with the “Recent Recording” Page…

I am sorry this is happening. We are having a team of security analysts running some checks site-wide after we changed servers again this Sunday.

Having the issue again - is there an alternate way to access this week’s Killer homework? Thanks!

Generally, try to log in from a different browser or a private window!
I put the links for the homework above

Until they fixed the issue, you can circumvent the erroneous redirect by changing the URL manually to a dynamic one, i.e. change

https://killerchesstraining.com/latest-recordings-backup/
to
https://killerchesstraining.com/latest-recordings-backup/?

Note the added “?” at the end. So “copy link” instead of clicking on it, then pasting it in the address bar, append a question mark.

Best,
Eiko

We have moved to a new server and we are cooperating with a team of experts for cyber-security.
This means the website is now very fast and after it gets redesigned, it will be ultra-fast and more user-friendly.

In the meantime, you might be experiencing problems logging in.
The first step is to log in from a private/incognito window. If that solves your problem of being logged out, then it’s time for you to clear your cache!

Here is a guide for you to clear your cache: How to Clear Your Browser Cache - Fort Valley State University

If the problem persists after you have cleared your cache or tried to log in from a browser you’ve never used before, please reply here with some information about the browser and when this happens.

Thank you for your patience!

The “Keeping up with Magnus Carlsen” course page is now inaccessible to me…

Hi Eiko! Does the login from a private window solve it?

I just checked with another browser on another computer and it opens it, as well as making it a dynamic link on the original machine.

I guess your redirecting system has really messed up badly. I hope it never sent permanent redirects (301) instead of temporary ones (302), which would be extremely difficult to correct once sent to the public.

Hard to say where it’s going wrong looking from the client side alone, but while trying to look deeper into it with Chrome’s Dev Tool, the “disable cache” option on the network page makes the problem go away… so whatever the problem is, something gets cached which is not supposed to.

Note: this is developer tools, this is not a suitable fix for clients. :upside_down_face:

Just to add: Both homework club pages show the same problem on another computer.

Thanks for that Eiko, I’m having the same issue (no access) accessing the recent recordings tab (I’ve seen it named with a …“backup” at the end, under my profile and “my memberships” view, but still no access via that), but your workaround worked for me. incognito did not work either. I can access the other tabs ok.

I’m having the same issue. I’m logged in, but every time I click on the courses page, I get logged out so I am unable to join courses/watch recordings.

I made this post a while ago and I have also sent it out in a newsletter. Please follow the steps and let us know how it went!

please try to clear the cache or try to login with an incognito window. Please tell me if it works after that. Thank you

There we go again…
Recent Courses (https://killerchesstraining.com/latest-recordings-backup/) redirects immediately to the Access Denied page (https://killerchesstraining.com/content-restricted/?r=33691&wcm_redirect_to=page&wcm_redirect_id=33691)

Browser: Latest Chrome on macOS.

Just to state the obvious: clearing the cache is not a fix for the problem, it is a (pretty bad) cure for the symptom.
