A new High Level Practical Training class has been added to the schedule. It will be held by Renier and will start on Thursday, from 4 PM UK time.
Jacob will return this Sunday with 3 Question Training. The class will start as usual, at 4 PM UK time
You will see a few trainers missing from the schedule and that’s because they will be in Samarkand, for the 46th Olympiad. Sabino will play for the Italian team. Swayams will be the captain of the Indian women’s team. Mykhaylo will coach the Ukrainian team. Renier will be the captain and coach of the Norwegian women’s team, although he will not be present in Samarkand.
The next online camp will happen between the 24th and the 27th of September, with GM Renier Castellanos. He will explore the games of José Raúl Capablanca and his enormous influence on positional play.
Capablanca is often remembered as the great simplifier and endgame master, but his greatest strength was arguably his extraordinary positional understanding. His famous exchanges and effortless endgames were often the result of brilliant piece play, accurate evaluation and a deep understanding of strategy.
Training will start every day at 5 PM UK time and will include three sessions of 1 hour each. There will be two 15 minutes breaks between sessions. More details about the camp can be found here.
New and renewed yearly members between the 26th of June and the 24th of September will receive this camp for free, as a welcome gift. Everyone else who would like to take part in the camp will need to purchase the camp in our shop. The price for participating is €148 for existing members of Killer Chess Training and €297 for everyone else (includes a month’s complimentary membership of the academy).
Please note that you can purchase the camp any time you want before the 27th of September. Once the camp is over, it will be removed from the shop and no longer possible to buy.

The IM norm Round-Robin tournament that Markus is organizing in Tallinn in November has filled up. We wish all the KCT members who have signed up the best of luck! You can find the current list of registered players, as well as Markus’ contact details here. If you have missed this tournament, check out the one he is organizing in January 2027!
Apart from coaches, many members will play in the Olympiad. We wish everyone good luck, we will most definitely be following!
Roel Donker gained 26 points in his last two tournaments, thus crossing the 2300 mark and becoming a FM! His biggest gain was in Greece, where he also finished 3rd. He recently finished playing Sestao Open in Spain, where he added another point to his rating.
Miguel Alvarez added 51 points to his rating in the last two tournaments. He gained 46 in the Spanish Amateurs Championship and another 5 in the MyInvestor Casablanca Open.
