Dear members,
The club championship has started this Sunday. Moving forward, we will have one heat every Sunday from 5 PM UK time.
The top two players overall and u2100 will qualify for the final. Three best results will be counted to calculate the top scorers. We will use the following points system:
This week we are celebrating many achievements of our members. We are very happy for Arshiya, one of our very first members, who won gold in both blitz and rapid in the Commonwealth Championship. Arshiya has been working very hard, submitting both homeworks consistently and participating in most classes. We are proud to see that her discipline and commitment is paying off!
Another gold medal comes from former member Karthik Venkataraman, in the Indian Championship!
We are very proud to see that two members have scored GM norms this week as well. One of them is our long time student Mayank Chakraborty, who scored 7/9 to bag 21 rating points and finish second in the Piraeus GM Norm Tournament ‘KORENTINIS MEMORIAL’.
Have you been playing any tournaments? We want to know!
See you in class!
