Analyse my tournament with GM Julen Arizmendi

Originally published at: https://killerchesstraining.com/2023/05/08/analyse-my-tournament/

Dear friends,

Lim Zhou Ren won the Malaysian Championship for the second time. Congratulations!

Peter Roberson made his 2nd GM-norm in the 4NCL. We are up to three GM norms, a few IM titles, and many norms this year, and very proud of our students!

On Thursday Julen will take on the ANALYSE MY TOURNAMENT challenge.
Before each session, you will be able to download a small collection of positions to work on in advance, should you choose to do so, of moments Julen found especially interesting, which he will go through in the class. They are not strict exercises and it is not a homework class, but if you want to have a look, you can find the PDF here. For future classes, you will be able to find it on the class page only.

And of course, don’t forget to sign up for the 1st Killer Chess Training Open in October! The entry fee is €200/1500 dkr and you will receive payment details after you complete your registration here.

Your friends at Killer Chess Training,

Julen, Kallia, Sam and Jacob

Hi Julen, These are 3 games of mine from a tournament in February for possible consideration in your class. Thank you!

Thank you, Sam!
Could you send me a few more games to [email protected]? That would help me get a better sense of your overall play.

I understand you must get a lot of games, but it would be nice to confirm you received mine from the Six days in Budapest. Thx…

Sorry about that, Fernando. I just sent you an email to confirm.

There is nothing to be sorry about, I just wanted to know everything was fine. My apologies if something of my message conferred the wrong impression, I was just enquiring… And thanks for the quick response and the fantastic lectures!

  1. Good material
  2. Interesting topic(s)
  3. Excellent explanations
  4. Good rhythm in allowing attendees to come up with suggestions (one of the very important features of KCT)
In fact they compare well with individual lessons as a student could have a little rest while others are solving and so it is nice…

I agree with all of Fernando’s points!
